TREMOD-enterprises: A MICROSIMULATION MODEL FOR CORPORATE TAXATION IN THE PROVINCE OF TRENTO

TREMOD-enterprises is a microsimulation model that originates from the extension of the TREMOD-families project to the fiscal data of companies in Trentino. The database underlying the model is obtained by combining, through exact matching, financial statement data from various sources with administrative data derived from corporate tax returns from the Revenue Agency. Based on this data, TREMOD firms allows for the simulation of the effects of different types of fiscal interventions on both the incomes of companies in Trentino and a variety of industrial policy outcomes, such as productivity growth, employment, and investment levels.

This project is part of the TREMOD implementation agreement, which is included in the Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Statistical Institute of the Province of Trento (ISPAT). The aim is to carry out research to improve the statistical knowledge of Trentino from an economic and social perspective and to promote the evaluation of public policies concerning the provincial population.
