Davide Cartagini

Researcher at FBK-IRVAPP, where he works on building monitoring and evaluation systems to support decision making in education. He holds a PhD in Economic Sociology from the University of Milan, with a dissertation on the role of social origins in shaping individual opportunities.

His research interests include social mobility, opportunity structures, sociology of education, and causal methods. He specializes in quantitative methodologies, experimental design, counterfactual analysis, and causal inference, particularly applied to the study of gender and class differences in educational outcomes and over the life course.
