Felix Rusche wins the FBK-IRVAPP 2025 award for best paper on public policy evaluation
Felix Rusche, Economics PhD student from the University of Mannheim, has won the Best Paper Award 2025 conferred by FBK-IRVAPP with his study “Broadcasting Change: India’s Community Radio Policy and Women’s Empowerment“, which analyzes the impact of community radio on women’s empowerment in India.
The research, conducted on over 250 radio stations, demonstrates significant results: women’s access to radio is associated with +0.3 years of education, +11% probability of graduation, -22% early marriages, and +21% participation in family decisions.
Felix Rusche will present his work at the summer school “Panel Data for Causal Research Designs” organized by FBK-IRVAPP and SIdE-IEA from June 29 to July 4, 2025 in Bertinoro.
