ACHAB final conference

On 23rd of November at Sala Zuccari of Palazzo Giustiniani in Rome, will be held the conclusive conference regarding the experimental evaluation achieved through the data of PERCORSI, a project of incentivized savings developed and financially supported by Ufficio Pio (Compagnia San Paolo) for the 4th and 5th grade high school students.

Subject to one of the few impact counterfactual evaluations made in Italy, PERCORSI plays a significant role by increasing university enrolment rate of those students, which otherwise, they would not be enrolled.

For the latter part of the morning is planned a round table discussion in which the president of Compagnia di San Paolo and of Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Francesco Profumo and the president of ACRI, Griuseppe Guzzetti will have a confrontation with Sabrina Bono (Ministry of Education’s Head of Department) and Carmelo Ursino (Chairman of Associazione Nazionale degli Enti Diritto allo Studio). The discussion focus on different topics such as: the right to education, access to higher education of low-income students, new possible models of intervention as a result of a meeting between public and private organizations, as well as the importance of a rigorous evaluation that will allow to check when a project works and can achieve the intended results.
