Welcoming Nadiia Matsiuk

We are happy to welcome Nadiia Matsiuk as our new team member!

Nadiia holds a PhD in Economics (2023) from the University of Padova and has since held research appointments in international contexts, including Canada and Italy.

Her work focuses on the main determinants of uneven local development, including institutions, innovation, and public policies. She has strong expertise in quantitative methods, including counterfactual evaluation methods and survey design and analysis, as well as the integration of administrative, geographic, and satellite data.

Her research interests include institutions and economic development; local governance and place-based policies; and firm-level innovation, including green innovation.
