The European Commission’s Directorate General for Education and Culture (Unit A4 – Evidence-based Policy and Evaluation) selected FBK-IRVAPP to carry out a study on engagement and achievement of 15 year olds across EU Member States.
The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) represents a milestone for the comparative analysis regarding skills and knowledge of 15-year-old students. The 2015 survey has been conducted for the first time in all 28 Member States as a computer-based assessment. This provides a new opportunity for analysing the log-files as a source for information about non-traditional competences.

The study will cover the following topics:

Analysis of the level and variations in non-traditional skills among 15 year-old-students.
The correlation between non-traditional and traditional skills.
Role of educational institutions, contextual factors and policy in shaping cognitive and noncognitive
skills
