Fatigue and experience effects in large-scale assessments: Evidence from PIAAC log-files

FBK-IRVAPP is pleased to invite you to the following seminar: Fatigue and experience effects in large-scale assessments: Evidence from PIAAC log-files.
With the partecipation of: Francesca Borgonovi and Marco Paccagnella.

Language The seminar is held in english.

Abstract Exploiting the modular and adaptive nature of the OECD Survey of Adult Skills (PIAAC), we look at variation in the proportion of correct answers, time on task and missing answers between individuals who were randomly allocated the same items either at the start or at the end of the assessment. We identify a small decline in the proportion of correct answers, a large decline in time on task and a large increase in the proportion of missing answers. The number of correct answers provided by individuals who were randomly allocated either hard or easy set of items in previous parts of the assessment did not differ. However, individuals who were administered hard items spent significantly less time on later items.

The seminar will be held on the web conference platform Google meet.
