Read the press release <a href=\"https:\/\/magazine.fbk.eu\/en\/news\/lorenzo-incoronato-wins-award-for-best-paper-on-public-policies\/\">here<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>What does the prize consist of?<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/irvapp.fbk.eu\/it\/\">Research Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies<\/a> (IRVAPP) at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fbk.eu\/\">Bruno Kessler Foundation (FBK)<\/a> will award a <strong>prize of 1,000 EUR<\/strong> for the best paper in Policy Evaluation.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the monetary prize, the author of the winning paper will be invited to present his or her paper during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.side-iea.it\/events\/courses\/panel-data-causal-research-designs-2025\">\u201cPanel Data for Causal Research Designs\u201d<\/a> course, which will be held in Bertinoro from the 29th of June to 5th of July 2025.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Who can apply?<\/h2>\n<p>We welcome papers by <strong>doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, or assistant professors<\/strong> from any kind of institution.<br \/>\nCo-authored papers are accepted, provided that all co-authors are doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, or assistant professors.<br \/>\nEach applicant may submit one paper only.<br \/>\n<strong>Only unpublished papers<\/strong> (working papers or papers still in print) are eligible.<\/p>\n<p>Submitted papers are expected <strong>to apply counterfactual techniques to public policy evaluation<\/strong>. Please send your application by email to\u202fadvancedirvapp@fbk.eu.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>How is the prize awarded?<\/h2>\n<p>As the IRVAPP-Advanced School concerns mainly methodological issues papers will be judged according to two criteria: i) their methodological soundness, as evaluated by the internal jury, ii) their innovative approach, both methodologically and in terms of the research question undertaken.<\/p>\n<p>The applications will be evaluated by an internal jury and the decision on the winner of the prize will be announced by <strong>10 June 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Data Protection<\/h2>\n<p>Pursuant to Article 13 of the EU Regulation No. 2016\/679 (GDPR), we inform you that the personal data provided will be processed by the an internal jury through manual, electronic, and telematic tools suitable to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data, exclusively within the scope of this Call for Best Paper and for the related purposes.<br \/>\nThe personal data will be processed by the Bruno Kessler Foundation &#8211; as Data Controller &#8211; in accordance with Regulation (EU) no. 2016\/679 (GDPR) and Legislative Decree no. 196\/2003 as amended by Legislative Decree 101\/2018.
