{"id":17605,"date":"2022-11-10T11:50:53","date_gmt":"2022-11-10T10:50:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/irvapp.fbk.eu\/call-for-best-paper-in-public-policy-evaluation\/"},"modified":"2023-09-18T10:51:13","modified_gmt":"2023-09-18T08:51:13","slug":"call-for-best-paper-in-public-policy-evaluation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/irvapp.fbk.eu\/it\/call-for-best-paper-in-public-policy-evaluation\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Best Paper in Public Policy Evaluation"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>We are delighted to open the 1st call for nominations for <strong>Best Paper in Policy Evaluation<\/strong>.<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><strong>What does the prize consist of?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/irvapp.fbk.eu\/it\/\">The Research Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies (IRVAPP)<\/a> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/Fondazione Bruno Kessler: FBKhttps:\/\/www.fbk.eu \u203a ...\">Bruno Kessler Foundation (FBK)<\/a> will award a prize of <strong>1,000 EUR<\/strong> for the best paper in Policy Evaluation.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the monetary prize, the author of the winning paper will be invited to present it at our yearly <a href=\"https:\/\/irvapp.fbk.eu\/trainings\/detail\/17609\/irvapp-advanced-school-2023-advanced-methods-for-impact-evaluation-online-2023\"><strong>Advanced School<\/strong><\/a> organized in the winter of this year (scheduled from <strong>January 30,\u00a0 2023<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Who can apply?<\/h2>\n<p>We welcome papers (only in print or working papers) from doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, or assistant professors.<\/p>\n<p>The paper has to tackle issues of public policy evaluation with a counterfactual approach. The paper needs to be innovative and thorough, both methodologically and in its critical lens, opening or advancing a debate on a specific public policy or issue more broadly, irrespective of the context or scale.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>How can you apply?<\/h2>\n<p>Applications should contain the following elements:<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The paper that is to be considered for the award<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Curriculum vitae of the applicant.<\/p>\n<p>The closing date for applications is 31 December 2022. Applications may only be submitted in electronic form in English, by sending an email to<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"> advancedirvapp@fbk.eu<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants may submit more than one paper and co-authored papers are accepted if all co-authors are doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, or assistant professors.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>How is the selection done?<\/h2>\n<p>Papers will be judged according to two criteria: i) their methodological soundness, as evaluated by the internal jury, ii) their innovative approach, both methodologically and in terms of the research question undertaken.<\/p>\n<p>The applications will be evaluated by an internal jury and the decision on the winner of the prize will be announced by <strong>27 January 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Data Protection<\/h2>\n<p>Pursuant to Article 13 of the EU Regulation No. 2016\/679 (GDPR), we inform you that the personal data provided will be processed by the an internal jury through manual, electronic, and telematic tools suitable to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data, exclusively within the scope of this Call for Best Paper and for the related purposes.
