IRVAPP organizes an internal seminar series in which the research fellows from IRVAPP and from other institutions present their ongoing projects. The next seminar is scheduled for the 18th of May from 14.00 to 15.00 and the speaker will be Giulia Canzian. She will present a paper entitled “Financial structure and firm performance: an evaluation of Italy's Mutuo di Riassetto”.

IRVAPP organizes an internal seminar series in which the research fellows from IRVAPP and from other institutions present their ongoing projects. The next seminar is scheduled for the 12th of May from 14.30 to 15.30 and the speaker will be Giovanni Abbiati. He will present a paper entitled “Does information matter? The effects of an educational guidance program for high-school seniors on beliefs on the value of Higher Education and on enrollment plans”.

New articles by Antonio Schizzerotto, Ugo Trivellato, Daniele Checchi, Enrico Rettore, Erich Battistin, Loris Vergolini and Silvia de Poli have been published in the new issue of RIV (Rassegna Italiana di Valutazione). The list of these articles can be found in the reprint series section of our website.

The next seminar is scheduled for the 21st of April from 14.30 to 15.30 and the speaker will be Simona Gamba. She will present a paper entitled “The effect of Intellectual Property Rights on domestic innovation in the pharmaceutical sector”.

This is to point out that the book entitled "Lavoro, istituzioni, disuguaglianze" (Labour, institutions, inequality)" (edited by P. Barbieri and G. Fullin; 2014) includes a chapter by Ugo Trivellato called "The evaluation of labor market policies in Italy: results of two decades of research". The chapter addresses the issue of assessing the effects of labor market policies (LMP), arguing, first, the reasons for their evaluation and presenting a review of methods that can be applied for rigorous impact evaluations.

In the section about the government documents of the autonomous Province of Trento has been published the report on the socio-economic situation in Trentino (2014 edition) edited by FBK-IRVAPP.

Antonio Schizzetto and Loris Vergolini take part at the Brown Bag Seminar organised by the Department of Sociology and Social Research (5 February, Trento). They present a paper entitled: "The Bologna Process in Italy. A reassessment of its influences on university enrolments and inequalities of educational opportunities"
